Poor quality control, not worth the effort
By J. Krauska
I bought this desk as a little corner desk for my wife in our bedroom. First off I noticed right away, the use of the color "cherry" is a stretch at best, it's an odd color, but certainly not cherry.
Second, the quality control on this is terrible. It comes unbranded, which should be the first give away, there's no one to talk to if a part is missing or it has serious issues like mine. I'm aware that most diy desk kits are cheap materials, but this one is by far the worst one I've ever owned. The drill holes were double drilled, caused the holes to be way too big. The washers included are nearly the same size as the bolts, essentially providing nothing in terms of support. There isn't enough glue for half of the wooden dowels, much less the whole desk. Grab some wood glue before you start.
After I worked my way through the various quirks of the issues with this desk, I tried to put the drawer in. Wouldn't go, no matter which way I angled it or how hard I pushed. There are little plastic nubs that keep the drawer from dragging on the wood frame where it slides. I eventually had to pry the numbs off, put the drawer in, and then wedged them under the drawer and back into the holes they were tacked into. The frame around the drawer wasn't straight either.
The little shelf around the bottom ended up not being straight at all as it was resting on the crossing piece of wood on one side, and not touching it on the other.
This desk is a waste of time and money, find something else.

Cherry Desk

I would not recommend this item. It was difficult to put together and the quality of materials used was not worth the cost.

good for the money
By tulsaotter
decent price and looks great - even though instructions state that 'two' people are needed to assemble, I did just fine by myself. looks great in the corner but it IS a wee bit smaller than I had imagined - more my fault than theirs. oh yeah....give yourself a GOOD 2 hours to put this together!
