Very nice looking desk, but not the highest quality materials

This desk is definitely a very nice looking desk! It currently sits in my office just inside of my front door for all visitors to see. HOWEVER, it is made from pressed wood that easily separates when putting it together. It has a million parts and seems pretty overwhelming when you open the box, but the instructions are pretty easy to follow. It did take my husband and I an absolute full day to construct though! We spread it out over a few hours on several days. Neither one of us could have put it together alone, because it is a heavy piece that at some points has to be put together upside down and then flipped over. Because it isn't fully constructed at that point, if you tried to flip it over from only one side, it would damage the pressed wood because it isn't strong enough without supporting both sides.

I am more or less pleased with it, although for the price, I expected a MUCH less "pressed particle board" and a much more "real wood" desk.

I also had problems with the delivery. The only "track your purchase" option said that it arrived in my town almost a week before I finally called the carrier (once I was able to find contact information for the carrier) to hear that they could deliver it the next day. I don't know if it sat in their warehouse for several days or what, but it definitely took much longer than it should have or said it would.

With the quality, price and delivery issues, if hindsight were 20/20, I would not purchase this desk again.
