Are you kidding?? This desk is AWESOME!
By Satisfied Sally
I bought this desk a couple of months ago, and it is so sturdy that I have stood on top of it to reach my ceiling! It holds all of my equipment, and for the love of god, it is only a couple hundred bucks!! I am thinking about buying another one for the other side of my office. Love it. If you are even thinking about getting this thing, go ahead and take the plunge. It will be worth it. And for the clown who said the holes are not "pre-drilled", he did not read the directions, because I ran into the same thing, and once I flipped the piece over, it worked great. One last thing: Did he really think that it was going to be "Antique" black? Black, yes. Antique, no. But then again, I do not really go to Amazon.com or Target to purchase most of my antique heirlooms. Maybe that is just me.

Sweet desk! Just a few extra steps needed...
By J. V. Clow
The desk is good solid wood, and on the overall pretty sturdy. The black finish could have been thicker; there's spots on the legs where its more of black sheen then a actual paint job. For down pressure it's VERY sturdy, but if you plan on moving it and having it last for the long term; then I recommend a couple extra steps to putting it together.
Pick up 8 L brackets and secure the top to the legs. 8 sheet rock screws aren't a lot to hold up the weight of the legs. 6 bucks, 16 drilled holes, and a extra 15 minutes for that little extra peace of mind.
Drill 4 more holes through the support piece that is preinstalled on the top piece into the leg piece and then run a 2" screw through it to provide a extra "pin" for overall support.
Be carefully when moving it.. The weight of the legs warps the middle a fair amount when being lifted on both ends by two people. ***I may get a 2"x2" 64 inches long and run it along the back as a extra brace. I'm a big fan of long lastesting sturdiness.***
Last but not least, pick up a good furniture wax and give the top a good buffing before use. After that a little Pledge in the high use spots, and I have yet to have any issues with scratching.
On the overall its a great desk and I love the total surface area it provides. Just needs a few extra steps to make sure it lasts.

High Quality
By Jetta Aiello
What a nice desk. It's solid with a perfectly done finish and took less than 30 minutes to assemble. Everything shipped in good shape with nothing missing. I only wish it had a pullout keyboard tray and enough room in the trestle area to store a CPU. Otherwise am absolutely thrilled with the quality and look of the desk.
